Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join a dynamic team in Nevada. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless communication between vendors and the company's personnel. The Procurement Specialist will coordinate purchasing activities in collaboration with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Operations, and Accounting teams. The role involves responsibilities such as verifying RPOs, managing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with project deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate prices and terms with vendors to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Source and research products and services, while onboarding new vendors.
  • Track budget to ensure purchase orders do not exceed cost limits; collaborate with Project Managers to secure approvals for any overages before issuing POs.
  • Verify RPOs by comparing requested items to Master Lists and recommending alternatives.
  • Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and prices.
  • Obtain purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers and monitoring order progress.
  • Verify receipt of items by comparing received goods to orders, and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation.
  • Maintain accessible information by sorting and filing documents.
  • Order raw materials and assist with inventory management.
  • Source project-related items and support the Estimation Department.
  • Collaborate with Production and Project team members on material purchasing.
  • Coordinate shipments with the Logistics team.
  • Work with Accounts Payable to collect missing invoices and correct purchase orders.
  • Assist with credit card reconciliation and create new vendor accounts.
  • Meet with potential and existing vendors to receive samples and product briefs, fostering strong working relationships.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in negotiating and sourcing materials.
  • Ability to read blueprints and shop renderings.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Excellent client and customer service skills.
  • Efficient clerical skills and detail-oriented.

Required Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Additional Details

Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience.
